June will mark our 20th anniversary at Hurricane/Sharpes Speedway. So in celebration of this we are making some changes for the remainder of the racing season.
There will be a split season incorporated. The June 2nd race will be the last race of the first half. Starting on July 21st will be the second half of our points season. Race dates will remain the same however both August races will be for points. There will be 10 races in the second half with 2 drop races.
We will award champions for both first and second half series. For the second half two classes will be eligible for our celebration award, BS E/L and BS O/T the champion that aquires the most points from one of these two classes, 10 races after 2 drops will win a Richard Petty Driving Experience to the track of your choice Daytona or Orlando/Disney.
The tie breaker will be wins.

Karting is an awesome sport not only for our youth but also for adults. Karting is also not only for men as there are many girls/women joining this sport. Our mission is to provide a fun, safe and competitive sport for our community. We have many new programs that we are going to be implementing into our organization that will promote our sport. We believe that it is very important for families to be involved, this is not a "drop your kid off and go" sport, we encourage family involvement. There are many ways to become involved in our organization and in promoting the sport! Kart racing is where many of our popular racers today got their start such as Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Danica Patrick, Michael Schumacher, Dale Earnhardt Jr. are just to name a few. We have had local racers from our track move on to bigger forms of motorsports such as Bobby and Brett Woodley for Hooters Cup, Dusty Cornelius -Super Late Model, James Tucker Jr.- Florida Modified Champion and we have many national and state champions that got their start racing our track such as Jason Burke, Ezra Beske, Jamie Haynes, Josh Robinson, Dusty Cornelius, Michael Bachman, Bobby Hopping, Mason Ketterman, and Dave Williams. Tom Clavette currently car chief for Penske Racing Nascar Team worked for C & D Motorsports and raced our track for many years.
